Stephen E. Guss has been practicing law in Fairfax, Virginia for over 30 years. 

His practice emphasizes representing Business & Individuals before the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (formerly the INS), the Department of Labor and the State Department to obtain his clients preferred results.

Mr. Guss works with Domestic and Foreign Corporations in all Immigration matters. He has represented individuals from over 90 countries to obtain Employment Visas and Permanent Residence status. He represents clients before the Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Mr. Guss has lectured on Immigration subjects for the Fairfax County Bar Association, and civic groups in Virginia as well as radio and television programs. He has appeared numerous times on the Award Winning Law Week television program to discuss current immigration issues, and changes in Immigration laws and procedures.

He is an active member of the Virginia State Bar, District of Columbia Bar, the Colorado Bar, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He has participated in several cases of first impression which resulted in his clients achieving permanent residence or employment status.

Mr. Guss has over thirty (30) years of experience in business law, criminal and traffic cases in Virginia and the District of Columbia. He served as a member of the Board of Governors of the International Practice Section of the Virginia State Bar for eight (8) years. He served on the Fairfax County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service Committee as well as its Pre-paid Legal Insurance Committe.

Mr. Guss's staff consists of Mrs. Amarilis Vasquez de Velasco, who has been a bilingual legal assistant for more than twelve (12) years. She has experience and training in all areas of Immigration practice. She has attended several legal research and immigraton seminars to keep current with changes in Immigration Law and procedure. Her fluency in Spanish and English serves in the translation of Spanish documents and she translates for Spanish-speaking clients of the firm. 

Also on staff is David Guss who has more than eight (8) years experience as a legal assistant in criminal, traffic, and juvenile law matters. He also serves as the firms IT Director and assists the Firm's corporate and other clients.
